Burnt Rock

Burnt Rock is located about 15 miles beyond the Painted Hills Unit of the John Day Fossil Beds off of Hwy. 26 in Central Oregon. Re: Wow

Coukd be. but my Ancient Oregon Geology book has it listed as Burnt rock, and the locals call it by the same name. Byrds Point, I will have to remember that as I have not seen it listed as such.
Thanks for the info.

Re: Great touch!

Thanks Kenze for the visit, one can find me in this region often in the spring and summer months out surveying for fossils and photography.
If you ever visit the area and need any information just ask and I will help as much as I can...
Happy New Year
Steve
