Quick hike up to Summit with Matt J. while attending RMTTA Conference in Castle Rock. Cool little summit!
Done many times.
Quick stopover between the Springs and Denver. 3rd class portion is just a couple moves on a very short section.
Quick jaunt on the drive home from the Springs. Cool little summit. Worth the effort.
Did the north face route
Driving from Colorado Springs I decided I had passed Castle Rock enough times (6) without having stopped to climb it. Finally bagged it.
We climbed it all the way to the top. The scramble at the top was actually really fun. A good little hike. My sister's boyfriends first climb.
Fun diversion - extremely short hike. Nice view of Castle Rock.
Fun little point.
Lovely, sunny, warm day. Nice views of the Front Range. Drove by this one so many times we finally said: ENOUGH! Let's hike that rock!
Great place to watch the fireworks.
A nice Father's day outing with the whole family and the Kelleys. My oldest not quite 3 made it all the way to the top of the trail.
18 min roundtrip.
Nice little short trip in the Front Range. Nice views of the surrounding area.
I had walked up to the base of the Rock in May of 2005, but I didn't climb to the very top. We've had a run of great weather the last few weeks, so I decided to do a little hiking (of sorts) while it lasts. This time I climbed to the top.
What a nice little spot for an impromptu hike/scramble/climb. It never occurred to me to go up there until I saw your entry. Thanks.
I've been up this at least 50 times, great place to bring friends and family visiting from out of town, because it offers great views and it's not to strenous of a hike. I use this also for training and its a great place to excersise your dog.
I've climbed it many times. It's a great place to practice rock climbing fairly safely or just chill on the summit and soak in the views.
