Solo Trail Run
Great little trail run. the last section was too steep for me to run, but otherwise, a quick outing with great views. Trail at near the summit disappears. Followed old road around to the East face to get to the summit.

good short rainy day hike
with WMC group (Stanley and Akiko). Rain and snow, views mostly obscured, but still enjoyed it.

Cave Peak
I came up to this peak to find a Geocache that hadn't been logged in 3 years. I wasn't patient enough and I went straight up the pipeline to the Peak. A few breaks in between, I took in the view of the surrounding area to the East, from here Elephant Rock stands out a little. After making it to the top I checked out the area and found a small game trail to the east that hooked up with an old pipeline service road, which is a much easier way of coming and going. It put me right back on the path to Elephant Rock where I continued up and back for the day. This is a great area and I look forward to coming back and trying to connect with City Creek from here.

Mueller Park Fun
Short & easy w/ beautiful views. Hiked between 2 rain storms in this wet spring. I really want to check out Mueller Park on my mountain bike now. Where is the Cave?

Bring Snowshoes
Hit it again #3
Fast forward 5 years. They must've did some work and made the trail steeper. Sucking wind and doing the pig sweats. Must. Quit. Smoking.
ATTEMPT #2
Finally made it all the way to the top...steep little sucker but great views. Netting over the pipeline made the descent an adventure; kept tangling up in my shoes.
ATTEMPT #1 27 Mar 2011
Did a 'hey-ho-up-the-side-we-go' attempt right up the pipeline. Ran out of daylight 200 yards from the top and postholed my way back down--note to self: wear snowshoes next time.

Whiteout Sucks!
Snow-shoeing the ridge in white-out conditions was a drag but awesome to work so hard and make it to the top!

Cave Peak
Hiked from Mueller Park. My favorite time to be in this area in during winter. Cave Peak is nice hike from the trail before it goes to Rudy’s Flat.
