AMAZING
My favorite hike EVER. Its got history, views, wildlife, hardship. We hiked it and had freezing rain over the pass. Got a little lost due to a ranger mislead and went into Peterson trail. For no one that knows, a guy took a crew there and killed 17 people at once in the 1800 goldrush. SCARY. Amazing hike!!

Super experience
A beautiful trail that passes through many biomes and over 100 years of history. I'm thankful for modern backpacks and footwear.
This is a great hike with lots of great scenery and history. At several of the designated campsites along the way, the Parks Service has books and journals of '98 gold rushers. It's a very interesting hike when you read about their experiences while you're right there.
I did this hike from Dyea to Lake Bennett in 2+ days without much trouble (aside from the requisite Alaskan mosquitos).

Great trip
Though the first half of the trip rained a lot, after summiting the clouds cleared and made for great views. I had a great time on this trip. klwagar hit it dead on by saying savour the experience.

Hiking with historyWhat a dream come true to follow in the footsteps of so many intrepid adventurers who came seeking their fortunes before me!
