Nice

The only Mexican drink you ever need drink is Horchata. Mmmm.

Yep

Ryan, it was Horchata! I think my driver watered it down too much. I see there is a Horchata energy drink! This is what I bought.

Matt, yes, but there was way more snow on my trip, which was very good! I will take snow over scree any day!

Yeah we actually had rock hard ice on orizaba...my crampons barely bit as we were heading up. The snow you had looks great though

Nice report...

...and great pics! Not something I will probably ever attempt, so it's nice to live vicariously through others. Thanks for posting, Mark

Nice Report

It sounds like you had good conditions on Orizaba. The glacier can be really icy sometimes. My Izta report has a map attached as an image: http://www.summitpost.org/iztaccihuatl-utm/377355 MountainHikerette agrees Izta is harder than Orizaba!

Good Memories

Nice job Kevin! I was up in 2008 and stayed with the Canchola's as well, it always brings a smile to my face to see people's group pictures with them. I have an 8x10 copy of ours at home :)
