Thanks,

Longs Peak was my greatest accomplishment as a mountain climber. Clark's Arrow was brutal, with nearly 4,000' of class 3. I spent so much time about 12,000 feet, my head started to ache. We got hail on the way down, rain, lightning, it was all encompassing!

Cool topography.

We have a new calendar at work. Eight of the twelve photos on the calendar are of scenes in Hocking Hills. Beautiful place!

Thanks for your good vote Dave, I will add in the warning against rhus radicans. I have heard many warnings against its cousin more prevalent out west: Toxicodendron diversilobum

Yes, with the appearance of the ISS, satelite imagery has made a great step forward, and now is so detailed that it adds value to many a mountain page to have it on it. It is however quite some work to fish out of the total library of over 500.000 images the ones that are really useful. Nice thing is that the NASA and the Russian Space Agency let you freely use their material for whatever reason. Unfortunately not everybody on SP likes it and I cashier "off topic" votes here and there. Whatever!

Nice to learn about this area. I'll have something to aim for when I eventually get out to Ohio.

Thanks for checking out Clifton and your good vote. Just a hop and a skip from either the Dayton Airport or even closer if you alight at Wright Pat from your SR71-Black Bird!

The Pfiefferhorn is a fun mountain, one of my personal favorites. Unfortunately I failed to summit on this most recent attempt via the North Ridge , but I plan to go back for another try later this spring.

Nice profile picture on your profile page! I've got 4 of my own....
