I can't believe I actually went to something you haven't been to! :-)
In all seriousness, though, seeing the canyon in the Fall is big on my "to-do" list. If you want or need hiking company when you swing through, let me know. If we can't coordinate schedules, and you beat me to the punch, I hope you'll post your pictures of the fall colors to this page.
Your profile photo (a great pic BTW) has "my" mountain in the background, and I also have ties to your Cloudland Canyon page. I proposed to my wife in Cloudland Canyon back in '71 while she was a student in the Chattanooga area and I was living in Orlando. We've only been back there once - in '92 during her 20-year class reunion. Great place! -Bob
It is a really small world! Cloudland Canyon is an amazing place, and I'm glad your wife appreciated the romance in your soul when you proposed there.
While I don't see myself proposing anytime soon, I might have to borrow your idea and do the same thing. I can think of the perfect spot on the trail right now, as well. :-)

Nice! This is on my itenerary for this Fall. Despite having lived near it when I was a teenager, I never visited it.
