Wow  Sucess!

What a great day. The lake is spectacular and the views from the summit were amazing. Did it in a day and it really wore me out, but totally worth it. The talus field above the lake was brutal, but the glacier was in fine condition. Cascade peaks are hard.

Enchantments Slam!  Sucess!

In a two-day span with great weather and great snow conditions, Gimpilator, Josh Lewis, and I summited Colchuck Peak, then Dragontail Peak, then Little Annapurna, and finally Enchantment Peak. Over 10000' of cumulative elevation gain!

Colchuck Peak was the first of what would become four Top 100 (Bulger List) Washington peaks summited in two days.

Multiple ascents  Sucess!

Casual climb but the glacier can be dangerously icy late in season.

I wish I had a camera!  Sucess!

I want to come back for Dragontail soooo bad!!! Heavy snows earlier in winter had consolidated to make for a wonderful snowclimb and great glissade. I often dream of this place.

Colchuck Glacier

Was invited on this trip with EastKing. Summited in the evening with a quick glissade down.

Denied

Had every intention of bagging Colchuck and Dragontail. Turned around less than 100 feet from the saddle between the two peaks, due to rockfall. Small stuff is bad enough, but when a microwave sized rock comes barreling down at you and you still have to downclimb it later- that's just not a game I'm playing.
