Excellent Job - but there are two (almost) repeat photos. I would cut the repeat photos.

That's pretty good for Nebraska. Class 3 the route page says. I'm glad Nebraska has at least a few interesting things. I know they have Chimney Rock too. Do't know if it is climbable?

Recent attempt

Thanks for your Courthouse Rock page by the way. The directions were good. However, IHMO the route is not easy class 3. I attempted the route just recently and got to the second cliff band close to the summit. The toe holds are very worn now, sandy and downsloping. I didn't trust the handholds because some of them looked cracked and might have broken if I had weighted them. Perhaps some of the upper route has eroded away?? I would say class 4 for myself although it might be very easy for someone comfortable in making those moves quickly while leaning into the formation to stay on it.

Re: Recent attempt

Thanks for the information! I hadn't visited the page in a long time, so I've updated it to reflect your suggestions.

Nice Report.

One our more rare class 3 Nebraska climbs.

One of the best in Nebraska

This is a great summit, but like earlier comments, that last "class 3 move" to the summit is now quite hazardous. I did some climbing there last year, mainly to look into other summit routes. That location you specified is not only worn, but that ledge is slowly breaking away. I had one sizable 8 inch thick chunk break out under me. Fortunately, the rest of me was still supported. But, I believe a better route is needed, and I think further west on the north face is that place. It would take some work with a pick, but there is a natural slope there that would not be so prone to giving out under climbers. However, this is federal land, and what happens when one unilaterally makes route improvements without first clearing all the red tape? So far, I have had no success in finding anyone who wants to approve such changes. Any ideas?
