Crimson Chrysalis, 5.8

Crimson Chrysalis, 5.8

Thank god I sweat so much on approach, caused me to dump the wet short sleve and where this windshirt on the climb. It never got warm, despite being partly sunny. Sun does not see this route in April. Don't be fooled into not wearing enough based on the approach. Crimson Chrysalis, Cloud Tower, Juniper Canyon, Red Rocks, April, 2007.

I agree.

Think we did this route in June (?) and were not frying as one would expect. No sunshine. Nice pic's Dow, how did you like the line?

Re: I agree.

I enjoyed it a lot Radek. You should be a professional guide book author, great notes! Straight up, straight down, no loose rock, no traverse, sustained..nice route. What is unnerving is all the doors banging at 5:am in the campground. The weather was iffy, so I told my partner, who lives in Springdale, not to come over if he did not want to and Stacy and I would do Cat in the Hat or something....so I did not realize his truck was in our spot until he said something to us in the tent after 6:AM!...I thought for sure someone else would be on the route, but they all thought it was too cold I guess. The route to climber ratio makes me nervous, otherwise it appears to be a fun area. Cheers.
