As the wind kicks up, a dude in a pink kayak (and red muscle-shirt) cuts through the northern half of Woods Canyon Lake.
Note the cumulus clouds continuing to "build up" east of the lake. The
monsoon ('blue northern') moisture brings much needed relief to Arizona's famed"cesspool of heat."
Woods Canyon Lake is one of seven making up the sparkling blue jewels known
as the Rim Lakes sitting atop AZ's 7,000+' Mogollon Plateau.
This lake freezes solid each winter, and is circumvented by a faint trail.
In late summer, the lake is alive with crawdads and Rainbow trout.
