Deadhorse Lake

Looking at the "Mountains of Extreme Color" album got me thinking about the incredible role light plays on what we see. I wanted to see how it changes not only the appearance of a mountain but also how it alters the emotion one feels while being in the wilderness. I dug up three pictures from a 2002 solo backpacking trip in the Uinta Mountains in northeaster Utah to try to share this with you. Deadhorse Lake, with the Uinta Crest and surrounding unnamed peaks towering overhead, is one of the prettiest places on earth.
