Which area ?

Was THIS caused (carved) by running water?

My perception of D.V. has always been it was
much more "inhabitable" based upon past climates ..

Water in the desert is a necessity, whether
you're acting like a tourist or not.

(Besides, SOMEBODIES gotta ask the tough
questions here on the Big SP ..)
