Deep Creek Lake Goldenrod

Deep Creek Lake Goldenrod in Glorious Bloom Found at the Deep Creek State Park Discovery Center Parking lot on 10-8-11 There are many forms and types of goldenrod and after careful research I am pretty sure that this is actually goldenrod of the elm-branched type. Goldenrods are mistakenly blamed for pollen allergies but goldenrod pollen is not the cause of fall allergies, though ragweed, which blooms at the same time as goldenrod is usually the culprit.
