Descending Hamblin Mountain

Descending Hamblin Mountain

On the way to the Cottonwood Wash. The scenery around Hamblin Mountain is full of colors and the peak offers great vistas of Lake Mead. Lake Mead Area, Nevada. January 2007. Enjoy my slideshow of the entire route: Hamblin Mountain

Nice Place

January!?! Wasn't the weather cold?
Looking to the pic, it seems like 55/60ºF!
The weather was warm last winter, wasn't it?
Cheers,
Fabio

Re: Nice Place

Good guess. It was probably around 60 degrees that day. Most peaks in Lake Mead area do not exceed 5000 feet and the weather here is warmer than in other areas around Las Vegas. But this is only Lake Mead. The Spring Mountains look like that at about the same time: Winter in Spring Mtns
