Too dam HOT!!!
It was a hot and long day on the mountain. The late start didn't help and my sense of direction was FUBAR as well. But I made to the summit for my first solo 12'er. It was a great learning experience...mostly what not to do.
Fun, short, but steep hike to the top of this one. Great views of the Tetons far to the east....

Diamond Didn't Disappoint
Was a great day on a great mountain, the east ridge just keeps on going and going. We set a quick pace to try and beat the thunderstorms, but they never materialized. Here’s a write up and some photos.

East Ridge
I finally made it up this one after looking at it daily for many years. It is a great class 3 with a great view on cloudless/smokeless days like today!

East Ridge
Fisrt Idaho peak I've climbed. Beautiful day, a few minor snowfields left.

Probably the easiest of Idaho's 12ers. It took us a mere 1 hr hour 45 minutes to summit. We went over on the same ridge and did the more interesting Riddler and that took quite a bit longer given we tried a circuit descent and got cliffed several times.

Did this on a cold September day. Actually saw 4 other people on the summit that day...in shorts! They were freezing needless to say. It has some really great class 3 sections.
Climbed with Ken Jones of Washington. Nice climb, with little towers that intervene on the ridge. These little towers make for 50-60 foot sections of class 3 climbing.
