I still remember back in the 80's climbing a slide on the East side of Mt. Dix which involved a nice bushwack in, then a long climb up slabs with an overlap or two that got my attention. I was alone and it definitely had a mountaineering feel to it. Thanks for sharing your story. Maybe I'll get back there again some day.
Ahhhh. That sounds like the route up the Boquet River and then the Beckhorn Slide? If so, Hurricane Irene added an additional tributary of slab to that run in 2011. Hopefully you'll get back to explore. Thank you for the comment!!
