"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."

DayhikeReally fun hike out of Mitchell Canyon. Should have gone all the way up to Diablo but I had already bagged it and was growing tired. Made a loop out of it by heading down Back Creek Trail. A very fun ridgeline hike I will definitely repeat.

5 Diablo PeaksAs part of my training for the High Sierra Trail, a group of friends and I backpacked five Diablo peaks. Started from Mitchell Canyon, tagged Twin Peaks and Eagle Peak, then camped at Juniper Campground. On Day 2 we tagged Diablo, North Peak, and Mt. Olympia before returning to Mitchell Canyon.

From Mitchel CanyonBagged this four or five times over the years on a ~16 mi four-peak trail run--Eagle, Diablo, North Peak, Olympia, and back. This run is best in winter or fall, but not after a rain.

My favorite Bay Area Training hikeHiked on Christmas Day from the Regency Trailhead. Love this hike. When I lived in Northern California this was my at least weekly training hike. Never get tired of it after at least 100 ascents. Great view!

En route to DiabloIt was on the way to the higher summit from Mitchell Trailhead. I wish the trail didn't drop a few hundred feet from the summit to the next saddle. Who designed this mountain anyways?

Hike FrequentlyMy current training hike. Not too long, but not too short. Steep on the way up and a less steep route down. Love it.

Mitchell, Diablo, Eagle LoopAfter an exhausting hike up Diablo from Mitchell Canyon, I actually talked my then fiancee into tagging Eagle on the way back to the TH. She was pretty new to this hiking/ peak-bagging stuff and I was very proud of her.
