East Face Couloir

East Face Couloir

Darin Baker exiting the constriction section in the "Y" couloir on Fletcher Mountain's East Face. The couloir steepens to about 42 degrees, and this constriction is about 6 feet wide and probably is the first part to melt out. We encountered some buried ice. Image taken June 2011 in a heavy snow year.
