Ellery Lake at dawn

Ellery Lake, 9,500', is a man made lake just northeast of Tioga Pass. One time I slept here and woke up at dawn to find a carload of fishermen running up to the lake with their gear all excited like it was Christmas morning! I spent the night here for acclimation before a hike in the area. July, '98
