Flower IDThis is some sort of Rhododendron or Azalea or other ericacious shrub. I'd have to spend some time with it to get a certain identificaiton. But its definitely not an orchid. Very nice photo however.

Re: Flower IDIt cannot Epilobium fleischeri either. Check here for a picture of that plant:

You can see it is different.
Epilobium has 8 stamens, a 4-lobed stigma, is herbaceous, opposite leaves and 4 petals. The plant in your photo has 10 stamens, a capitate stigma, is a shrub, has alternate leaves and 5 petals. This matches closely to an ericacious shrub.

Re: Flower IDmrh is right (as usual). This flower is unquestionably a member of genus rhododendron. (Some rhododendrons are also called azaleas, but those with 10 stamens are usually just called rhododendrons.)
Common names can be confusing - I know of a similar rhododendron to the one pictured, that is commonly called a "bay" or "rosebay" or "laurel". But the plant in this photo is clearly not a willow-herb (even though Epilobium angustifolium is also called rosebay willow-herb, perhaps because of a slight resemblance), for the reasons mrh stated.
