Re: A question Henryk,This European bison isn't old yet. I don't know how old he is exactly. However I know that during my stay in these mountains a female baby European bison was born - it is possible to send name suggestions for this youngster.Henryk

Hello HenrykDid you encounter him free in open space ? Or was it in a zoo or something ? I knew bisons lived in the Bialowieski forest but here not !

Re: Hello HenrykThe European bison was reintroduced in the Bieszczady Mountains in 1963. The first sanctuary was established in Stuposiany and the first bison were released into the wild in 1964. In 1976 the second sanctuary was created in Komancza Forest District. The herd from Komancza was released into the wild in 1980. Currently, there are over 300 bison living in the entire area of the Bieszczady Mountains. Greetings Henryk
