Exposure!
I was kind of surprised this kind of exposure existed up here!
We (Sarah Thompson and I) ended up climbing to the top of this gendarme and down an eastern fin to catch an inacessable notch and down a class-4 gully on the other side to rejoin the ridge/saddle.
Some tricky manuerving but very possible.
