First View - Rocky River Blues

This is the first view of Rocky River Blues in Jasper National Park. It is a very long hike in (2-3 hours) with no views of the climb until you start the descent into the canyon. A burly first pitch followed by likely the world's most aesthetic 60 m of classic grade 3 ice. (Photo GregC).

Re: that's a sweet view

After a couple of hours of bushwacking it is definitely a welcome sight. Especially when you are never 100% certain the bottom pitch is formed until you get up there.
