I am reminded of the story of Benjamin Franklin whose father contemplated sending him to Harvard Divinity School. Ben remarked to his father whilst storing food for the winter that it would be more efficient to pronounce a benediction over the food while they were storing it and so by remove the need for a daily blessing. At that point Franklin's father decided that Ben would not profit from divinity school.
