Call this French Cabin Mountain and write up info, even if cursory for the summits you haven't done, on all three summits (West Peak, South Peak, and North Peak). It's not French Cabin Peak. Or if you want to put info up only for the West Peak, call it "French Cabin Mountain, West Peak."
Don't necessarily go by what the Mountaineers say. They're not the experts or the ones who would care to get it right. Go by what the map says if it says something and what it says is "West Peak." This helps because now someone can put up pages for the other two summits calling them 'FCM, North Peak' and 'FCM, South Peak' respectively.
I've been interested in this peak for awhile now. It's good to see it has a page. I thought I heard a story about some eastern European family that used to live up there (not french). Have your heard anything about that? Also do you know anything about the privately owned cabin up there?
Thanks for the compliment on the page. Interesting stories. No, I haven't heard anything about anyone living up there, nor have I ever seen a cabin up there. It wouldn't necessarily surprise me, though. This cluster of peaks has a lot of nooks and crannies with gentle terrain and running water where someone could build themselves a little homestead.

Re: Nice JobI was confused. It's Revolution Peak that has a cabin on it as you can see here:
