WAY coolYup...I agree. We did Avery peak in the Bigelow's in October...no snow at all, anywhere. The peak, however, was covered with frost and we saw quite a few trees, signs, rocks, and other things just covered like this.

Re: WAY coolSweet! It was pretty much the same situation here. There were at least 3 feet of snow below treeline (went in up to my waist when I stepped off of the packed trail) but on the ridge it was just ice and the frozen moisture on the plants.
