Getting out of the hospital!

Getting out of the hospital!

Part, just part of the team that is saving my ass. The "whole crew" is up to 40 people at least. But the most important individual is that guy, Sergio Brazil MD. An outstanding guy, and we kinda became friends since we met and he embraced my case as his mission of the year. I said to him: "Dude, if you cure me I'll pay you a lobster so big you'll need help to finish it!" He accepted the chalenge hehehe That photo was taken in Feb 17, the day I got out after almost die at the ICU. In fact, he said to me at the day I left ICU (feb 15): "Paulo, once you told me you would never climb K2 because you have love for life, well buddy, you just did. Do you know the survival chances you had with intestine infection after the first round of chemo? 5%, and you did it, you just climbed K2." Well, I guess he was right! :)

Glad to hear you fought so well, I hope you will become a living proof of what Nietzsche said, "What doesn't kill me, makes me stronger!"

Incredible!

You did more than climb K2 man! Annapurna, the deadliest peak in the world, has a survival rate of around 40-50%. You just climbed all of the 8000 meter peaks(without oxygen)! Keep up the fight man!

Re: Awesome ...

Jim Morrison was a drunk, he wasn't right on the head ahahahhaha
And after all, he didn't knew me back in the day (of course, I was nothing but a small snake swimming among so many others years after his death)
ahahahah...

That was me leaving the hospital after the first round of chemo!
Still have a lot to fight for, the war still on go!!!
At march 15th probably I'll be admitted again for the second round of chemo! Second battle!
It will be at least a year before I can go back to the mountains.

Glad to hear your wife made it!

Praying for you...

Your second battle, if I got you right, starts day after tomorrow...We're all standing behind you as powerfully as we can!!!!!!
You can make it - after having "climbed K2", I think you can make anything you want!
Cheers, my friend,
