Geyer's Onion (Allium geyeri)

Geyer's Onion (Allium geyeri)

Geyer's onion grows in moist soil in meadows, along streams and in open forests. Most of its range lies between the Cascade/Sierra axis and the main Rocky Mountains. This is its typical form, but white flowers also occur and there is another variety that has some flowers replaced by bulblets. Photo from Turnbow Wildlife Refuge, Washington.
