Glacial deposit...

A glacial deposit at a tongue of Lys glacier, Monte Rosa massif. Sand and stones are accumulated in a lateral moraine (white arrow), on the glacial surface (green arrow) and are abraded by glacial waters (red arrow). In such places the abrasion can form ventifacts, however, this glacial area is geologically too dynamic for efficacious directional abrasion.
