This long glacier is part of the Haute Route from Chamonix to Zermatt. That's not our route though; we're just on a short trip to Pigne d'Arolla, and this is the view from the upper slopes, not far from the Col des Vignettes.
The mountains on the other side of the Glacier d'Otemma, from left to right, are La Singla, Pointe de Boette, Bec de la Sasse, Aouille Tseuque, Bec d'Epicoune, Bec du Chardonay and Mont Morion. On the right of the photo are the upper slopes of Pigne d'Arolla, but the summit is out of view.
