I took this picture from High Lake, about 1000 feet below. You can just make out a mountain goat halfway up the larger left pillar. It stood in that same spot most of the day. View image at original size to get a better look.

I like it a lot !!!

Is there a natural cave (up there) where the
goats hold their meetings, or do they come
down (at night) to frolic in the trees below ??

As a matter of fact the Strawberry Mountain Chapter of the Blue Mountain Goats has a cave, nobody knows where its at though. Frontier trapper Dan "7-toe" Miller wrote in his memoir GOAT FEVER! about his summer living amongst them at high lake, and the cavern was mentioned prominently in several passages, but he never specifically mentioned the location.
