Couple of day walks
In the area 29th May - 1st June. Clear in the mornings and dramatic thunderstorms every afternoon - including with so much hail down to valley level, it looked as if it had been snowing. In a 24 hour period 30/31st May I did a walk down into to canyon bottom and back from Chalet de la Maline - climbed Montagne de Robion 1660m overlooking the gorges - and did another short day walk from Point Sublime down into gorges and along to the end of the tunnel du Bauo (670m) and back up again.

Route Climbed: North and south road Date Climbed: july 2002
I went on my bike, I reached the highest point (about 1200 meters) and went back. Was about 120 km (north road) and 90 or something the south road (I was at a Campsite about 25km from the gorge)
In my opinion, the Gorge du Verdon is one of the best climbing areas of the world. There is no other climbing area with such exiting routes. Great place !!
