I have been waiting SOOOO long for someone to add either Government Peak or Summit Peak to the Porkies. I would have a while ago but my pics are just too old (remember film?). Nice page and great photos! (How about Summit Peak now?)
Yeah, the Midwest definitely is underrepresented on SP. Sorry though, I never did Summit Peak. The Escarpment was always the highlight of the Porkies anyways, can I get away with making a mountain page for that?
I don't see why not. I know some SP purists might question it, but in my experience as long as you put some work into a page and make it interesting and useful then nobody really complains. If you decide to I'll be looking forward to it!
In the 1930s, Government Peak was thought to be the highest in the state. Later Mount Curwood was recognized as the highest. In 1982 it was discovered that Mount Arvon is a foot taller than Mount Curwood.
