Good close up

Douglas Squirrel first named by Lewis and Clark- referred to locally as Chickarees or Pine Squirrels (we have them in our forest yard here). They are brave, loud, territorial, industrious and great to watch. Each squirrel generally monopolizes 1 acre of forest and doesn't allow other squirrels around that acre and will loudly chatter if bothered.

Re: Good close up

Thanks for the info, Sean! I used my Canon SD800 IS camera to snap the pic; it's a tiny camera but the squirrel wasn't shy and allowed me to get really close.
