I've hiked Grandeur a few times - 02/03/07, 11/10/07, 01/26/08 Nice peak that is close to home and an easy hike.

Church Fork
Easy hike. It was nice to climb and I passed alot of people who went just to the pass. Meet a couple of guys (REI employees) who came up from the West Ridge.

Church Fork
Jun 16, 2008 (TR Included) Climbed it from church fork, with Cousins and Brother, fun but one problem, too many dam mosquitoes and flies
May 23, 2009 Climbed from Church Fork again this time only with brothers, More snow this time, less mosquitoes and less heat! (more dogs though!)

Winter Climb
In preperation for a trip to Rainier in a few months, we decided to shake the dust off of our Koflach's with a winter climb of Grandeur Peak. We encountered two large groups of elk, coyote tracks, and waist-deep snow in parts. It was an awesome trip and a pleasant beginning to the 2008 climbing season.

Frosty Morning
An enjoyable climb on a frosty fall morning. The terrain is fairly rugged with numerous trail options to reach the summit.

West slopes and church fork
I've done both routes a few times, but the west slopes plays my knees on the way down every time. I agree with the posting below: best enjoyed sub-80 degrees.

Finally
I grew up looking up at these peaks... amazingly never did this hike until today. ~5 hour roundtrip from Church Fork picnic area - including a nice long break for lunch and views at the top. Very nice climb with my sons and niece.
Did the West Ridge route with The Steve. Made it up in about 90 minutes, with a 75 minute return. The return trip is a killer on your knees (lots of steep downhill). Consider using a car bridge to ascend West Ridge and descend on Church Fork.

trail running
I think this was my first mountain run. My second trip, Oct 2, 2011, was also a run from Church Fork, but this time continued from Grandeur along the ridge to Mt Aire and down to Elbow Fork, ~11 miles point to point (used a bike shuttle). It's a fun ridge for the most part, and was a beautiful day of pink bigtooth maples and yellow box elders and aspens, but the bushwhacking was a bit much for what I was (not) wearing: my legs have never been so scratched up from bushwhacking, and I've run a few other ridges in the area with unmaintained trails while dressed similarly.

grandeur peak!
did the main route; I have done it many times so I'm not really sure of the date!
At least 10 people were on the summit taking in the views before I headed down via West Slopes and several people were still heading up. Had to make it a quick trip and get my taxes filed.

Crazy with the ice on top
This was a fun hike. We started a little late in the day and it was getting dark at the top. It was very icy near the top and was hard without crampons.

Good views, good times!I enjoyed this as my first climb of the year. I got my blood flowing and found out how out of shape I'd become since last fall. Nice views of SLC.
