Real Summit  Sucess!

Climbed the lower point 9105 where peak baggers placed a summit register. We rappelled down, then climbed a knife edged ridge to the next tower. Rappelled down that and skirt two lesser towers before ascending to the base of the high point 9144. From here 1 rock pitch of 5.6 led to the true summit. Signed the summit log I left here in 2010. Very cool day and nice for late Oct

Summit Traverse  Sucess!

Made it easily up 9105 where the register is. Then traversed the pinnacle studded ridge over Class 5 terrain to Summit 9144. Many, many climbs and rappels to get from one end to the other.

Route Climbed: North Slope via Baron Creek  Sucess!

Not sure I really began this trip with the intent of climbing Grandjean Peak, but that's what happened. Began the trip with 2 hiking buddies and another friend that doesn't hike too much. We took the Baron Creek trail and crossed the creek after a couple of miles and started to climb the north slope. It was one of those hikes that just kept going, and going. Eventually I reached the 9105 summit and was the only one in our group to reach the top. The rest of the crew topped out somewhere on the ridged between the 7888 point. The views from the top were truely spectacular and I was greeted by a goat hanging out on a rocky face when I got there. Very fun trip exept for missing the creek crossing on the way back (just me... everyone else found it) and having to jump into Baron Creek to get back to the trail. Brrrrrrrrrr. Not Recommended
