Granite Peak

10-8-17 After struggling to find the summit in horrendous winds and lousy visibility, we looked back from our parking spot before leaving. We hoped to finally see Granite Peak from a distance. It was not in the cards. This was one of those days we needed and used the summit coordinates we had loaded into our GPS. Without that aid we may not have been able to locate the summit, the visibility was that bad. When we started our hike we could see maybe 100 yards and the viz only improved during the final 15 minutes of our descent after we had reconnected with the barbed-wire fence.
