Green Shield Bug

Green Shield Bug (Palomena prasina) is about 12 - 14 mm long. It is green during spring and summer, but later turns reddish brown. It regains its green color the following spring. It is most common on leaves of wild raspberries. This bug has an unpleasant odor. The Low Beskid - Rymanow Zdroj - Thickets near Black Creek - August 28, 2008.
