Grintovec from the W

From the ridge between Kočna and Grintovec the latter can be seen from its western side. The ascent route first descends below the ridge on the southern side - till the lowest part of scree fields, then it goes up by the left side of screes, using rocks wherever possible. You can clearly see on this picture the exit on the N roof - in the upper part of the ravine, from just below the upper snow field, a distinct ledge goes horizontally towards the left, exiting on the screes on the other (northern side). The passage is exposed, but nicely protected. Skiing in spring is done (if possible at all) by entering the red ravine from the right side (south). August 1st, 2009.
