Living in Jackson for twenty years, and fully into the mountains by then, I've climbed extensively in this range; in my time there I managed to systematically climbed the entire group of ranked peaks and just about every other point in between. If you can't tell already, this is about my favorite bunch of mountains in the world!
to the Gros Ventre after living in the park and the "hustle and bustle" of Jenny Lake. Many trips for camping and multiple summits of Snow King to get ready for the summer season. Also tagged Jackson and nearly the Sleeping Indian (Sheep Mountain).
Spent about a week in this area recuperating from the Wind Rivers and a stormy failed climb of Disappointment Peak. Nice break from the crowds in the Tetons and Yellowstone. Hiking and exploring near Crystal Peak, red cliffs, the Slide and Doubletop, but no summits.
Route Climbed: East Face Date Climbed: Summer 1959
One of my first climbs ever with my dad. I was 7 years old. We were staying on a ranch nearby. We stayed in the ski cabin. Still looking for some pictures.

Neglected Step ChildSpent a week running around this range away from the crowds in the Tetons. Enjoyable off-roading, crystal clear creeks, and beautiful solitary hiking.

Route Climbed: East Slopes Date Climbed: First in July '98I've climbed the peak many, many times in the spring, fall, and summer (never in the heart of winter). Each time brings its own rewards and beauties.
