After quick work of Vly and Bearpen I pushed my luck and headed here. I took the wrong stream up mountain which added a mile of tough steep bush whacking. My legs are all tore up from briars and brush. Plus bugs were relentless. Not the funnest summit of my life but another 35er ticked.
Eighty eight minutes from the parking area by the falls on Rt 42 to the summit. No one at the summit but I just missed a group of people from the 3500 club according to another hiker I met on the way down. Got snowed on during my descent.
Few people and a couple snow squalls to make it interesting. Lovely day.
Started from Rt 42 PA, headed up ridge, got ancy and headed straight for the summit. It got real steep, stumbled on a bear den below the summit, nobody home though. Hiked WHP and SW Hunter earlier in the day, this one finished me off. Nice wildflowers out though.
