Wonderful views over the surrounding mountains.
Together with our bikes we took the cable car to Tarscher Alm, so we never had to descent by foot to Tarsch if we were too late at the cable car station which closed relatively early. This saves about 800 descending meters. Then along the beautiful 'Waalweg' and even more beautiful northeast ridge. I can recommend this summit to everyone.
Climbed from Tarscher Alm to Blaue Schneid. Attempted the block traverse to the summit but took too long so that we were afraid to be too late for the chairlift to Tarscher Alm. Both of us had knee trouble so that the additional descent would have been painful. However, we reached the lift more than an hour early so that the summit would have been possible after all.
unusual few snow this winter, but very safe conditions. Normally this route is for firn snow in spring. The upper 200m on the west ridge on foot. A cloudless day with endless views, but very windy.
It was a very lonely trip - the summit was in clouds, besides good condition on track.
It was a breathtaking day with a wonderful 360° view to the surrounding mountains.
I've been 3 times yet on Hasenöhrl:
1. September 22nd 1987
from Ultental valley starting at Kuppelwieser Alm, along Blaue Schneid, NE ridge:
my companion was not experienced with mountains and she was a bit frightened when we reached the summit. Therefore we decided to descend on another route which we did to the south via Getristeter Stein and Steinberg. This was very long and strenious, about 2000 m descent
2. June 18th 1995
This was my latest ski tour ever until now. Martin and I drove by car again to Kuppelwieser Alm (1906 m) and followed the closed road further on, carrying ski to the Arzkar reservoir lake. We climbed a couloir until finally snow started. Then we climbed steep slopes left of the Kuppelwieser Ferner to gain the east ridge and on this ridge the summit where we could feel the sun but still remained in the fog that had come up early. Because of bad sight we took downhill on the same route

It was a fine Sunday though cumulus clouds occured soon. Once more starting at Kuppelwieser Alm, to Tarscher Pass and Blaue Schneid. We only met two other tourists - but app. 100 locals which did a Sunday trip on this high and easy mountain. Later at the Kuppelwieser Alm pasture there was a big party with local musicians, again not arranged just for tourists.
