Skagit Alpine Club mountaineering class students stop at about 9,000 feet on the Boulder Ridge route on Mount Baker to drink and put on sunscreen. The prominent peak at left is Mount Shuksan.

It was a treat to be out. And a shock to find the summit fairly crowded after having that whole side of the mountain to ourselves.

Thanks. This was one of a bunch of photos I turned into a Cloudscapes calendar for 2006. Nothing like a solid cloud deck below you to make you feel on top of things!
