Our last day in the remote Ak-Shiirak Range in Kyrgyzstan. After having scaled two virgin peaks in the range, it's finally time to return to civilization, and that is not an easy task either. Hiking out from the Petrov Lake to the Kumtor gold mine took more than 7 hours over 15 km with heavy backpacks. We were both beaten up - I suffered from the injury to my diaphragm, my climbing partner had a broken toe. August 25, 2014.
