Hoback Peak-- Summit Route from Upper Kilgore Basin
A look at the NE ridge while climbing the slopes to attain it. Follow the ridge, which is steeper than it looks here but not ultra-steep by any means, to the peak on the right, which is not the summit (nor is the peak to the left). The summit is a short distance behind the right-side peak and is not visible from here.
From the ridgetop, it is about 900 vertical feet of elevation gain to the summit, with a distance of around three fourths of a mile (both can vary depending on exactly where you gain the ridgetop).
