Nice shot!

Seems like perfect conditions for Hohe Dock in October - no snow!

Re: Nice shot!

Yep. Hopefully this will reamin the same for the next weekends... I spent yesterday in the Glockner region and the conditions are great for the season - especially in the south faces. In the north faces there is (in some parts) already a lot of snow, which is no longer melting away during daylight and making easy routes quite difficult.

Re: Nice shot!

What about FKK North face? Do you know about the conditions?

Re: Nice shot!

There will be some snow - but not to much - in the north face right now, the south face is completely free of snow at the moment. While walking along the Gamsgrubenweg yesterday afternoon, we saw at least 2 climbers on the summit ridge of FKK, but I can not tell, which route they used for the approach. Anyway, all ridge routes should be possible right now. But the north-wall itself (the famous ice-climb) is obviously impossible - already in July there was nearly no ice left.
