Re: Honeymoon from West Fork?I think its probably possible, but I don't know first hand myself. Looking at that question from a distance and on a topo map, I suspect it would be difficult and require some involved route finding. I'd like to try someday, but for now I can't give any certainties. Sorry.
I think its possible to go over Hawkins Pass and up the west side of Cusick, then drop into Honeymoon Basin from the west. This also would take some route finding, but I think its probably a little easier. Sorry I don't have a definite answer.

Re: Honeymoon from West Fork?Last year, I tried exactly that - and I failed. I pitched my tent at Frazier; it's about an hour up to the crest of Hawkins, and from there I followed the ridge going east. Up to the unnamed top (about 700') is class 2-3 scramble, but then the ridge gets narrow and the gendarmes too big for unroped rock hoping, I had to stop after another 150' or so. Maybe (maybe) a rope team can go all the way - and its a long way to go from there (I got pictures, GPS etc.) This year I'll try Aneroid - Senteniel - Honeymoon bas - Cusick.

Re: Honeymoon from West Fork?Good information. Thanks for sharing it. I have had three people ask me about this route between comments and PMs and couldn't give them any first had info.
