Hounds Tooth and Salt Lake.

This photo was taken on the ridge above Ferguson Canyon and Hounds Tooth, the yellow rock formation at the far left of the image. Hounds Tooth forms a large square rock formation with cliffs surrounding most of it's sides, and seems prominent from the valley below. The approach I used was from Ferguson Canyon, with snowshoes higher. To the west of Hounds Tooth was a gully leading up about 45 degrees to the ridge above. Once reaching the ridge, snow as seen in the center of this photo was negotiated to a small saddle just to the east of Hounds, then a very short class III jaunt to the summit area.
