House Range, Utah

A long car ride seems much shorter if you start recognizing your "friends" in the distance. Here are Notch Peak, Marjum Pass, and Swasey Peak seen from left to right. Sent to survey for railroads, Captain JH Simpson named it the House Range in 1859. Other nearby mountains were named to honor him. US-6 westbound is on the left side of the pic and the notch is exactly above at this angle. Swasey is the rounded high point on the right.
